The colour of Blondi is so
nice. The tips of her ears are different colour. The black triangle on
her nose really gives her the distinctive look. And like our ocicats,
Blondi has spots too scattered around, coloured with red and black. We
really love torties as they all are one of the kinds. There just can not
be same looking torties. And further, they really are different from the
spotted ocicats.
Johanna (breeder) warned us that cymrics like to play
with water. True: Blondi does the dishes with us and bathes with us in
the sauna, she is almost coming into showers with us. As the picture above
shows, she drinks water by putting the paw into water and licking the
paw.
The first show for Blondi was on the epiphany January
the 6th 2006 in Helsinki. At that show she was present as XLH, because
of the rules in Finland. Nevertheless, she was the Best In Variety as
XLH and she got a special award of Eva Wieland-Schilla. In this show,
the mother of Blondi (Cindy) was approved as cymric and with that appoval,
Blondi became a real cymric too.
Cymric was approved as an official breed (sister breed
of manx) in FIFé GA on spring 2005. Officially cymrics got the
right of registration and certificates in show on January the 1st. Check
the story of breed approval from the pages of D'manns-cattery:
